What’s your favorite thing about being a healthcare professional? Seeing a change for the better in a patient and being with patients and their families when it is their time.
What have you gotten out of Joy Energy Time? I love the brand because it reminds me I’m not alone in having experienced burnout and connecting me to a community of other healthcare professionals who have also experienced burnout. I’ve also gotten solid strategies to prevent burnout.
What’s your go-to morning routine? Rollout of bed at the last minute, my skincare routine, grab a granola bar and head out to my first patient (I wouldn’t really call it a morning routine lol).
What is a MUST-HAVE for a busy day at work? Breathing, True Crime podcasts, a chai tea latte from Starbucks or a chocolate shake from Chic-Fil-A.
What’s your life mantra? I solemnly swear I’m up to no good and I am enough as I am.
What’s your advice for other healthcare professionals? Ask for help, stand up for yourself, be a part of the joy energy time club and figure out what self care YOU need.
How do you unwind after a long day? Yoga, reading a book, playing with my daughter, Netflix binge!
What areas are you most passionate about being an advocate for? Eating disorder prevention and recovery, ending diet culture and bringing Health at Every Size teaching to other healthcare professionals.
One random fact about yourself: My elbows are double jointed and I can turn them 360 degrees. I’m also a huge Harry Potter fan!!

What’s your favorite thing about being a healthcare professional? The ability to positively impact the lives of my clients and families every day
What have you gotten out of Joy Energy Time? Because of JET, I know am a part of a community of like-minded health care professionals that value their mental health as well as the work that they do. The JET podcast is light-hearted, fun, and valuable as it highlights topics that are extremely relevant to ALL healthcare professionals such as preventing burnout, mindfulness, and entrepreneurship.
What’s your go-to morning routine? Morning workout, reflecting on my intentions for the day in the shower, and lots of cafecito.
What is a MUST-HAVE for a busy day at work? Bottle of water, COFFEE, and hand sanitizer.
What’s your life mantra? Si Se Puede!
What’s your advice for other healthcare professionals? Always remember to take pride in your work because you truly make a difference in the lives of the people you work with. Also, if you are not happy in a particular setting, don’t hesitate to move on to a new one that best fits your needs. Your mental health is priority, always.
How do you unwind after a long day? Cuddles with my boyfriend and French Bulldog Luna
What areas are you most passionate about being an advocate for? Diversity and inclusion (especially in the field of OT and in healthcare in general), pediatrics and early intervention.
One random fact about yourself: I played 3 instruments in the middle school band (clarinet, tenor saxophone, piano) and continue to play the piano. I am self-taught and mostly play by ear.
