Meet The Founders

Joy Energy Time LLC was founded in 2017 by husband and wife team, Erika del Pozo, MOT, OTR/L and Michael Frasso, PT, DPT. Erika experienced significant burnout and anxiety during her first few years in the clinical world that resulted from lack of personal and job resources and workplace injustice.

Erika had an ‘aha’ light bulb moment on an airplane after months of reflection and healing and became inspired to create a solution to help bring awareness to the causes of burnout in the healthcare industry and improve well-being for individuals and organizations. Joy Energy Time has transitioned from a continuing education agency to a media and events company fostering well-being and change through the healthcare in the healthcare industry.

The founders are currently working and living in Southern California.

MEET ERIKA, MOT, OTR/L, FOUNDER & CEO

I’m Erika, nice to meet you! I’m an occupational therapist or as I like to say, OTPreneur. I experienced anxiety for many years and significant burnout on top of that. It took me months to digest the things that happened to me during those years of burnout, what were the factors that caused it in the first place, and how I was coping with it. On top of that, I began healing and exploring ways to support my personal growth and well-being. I founded Joy Energy Time and The Burnt Out to Lit Up Podcast with a dream to make an impact in the healthcare world. My creative brain never stops thinking of ways I help people!

My fun facts:

Virgo Sun, Capricorn Moon, and Aries Rising.

Vata with generous doses of Pitta.

My chronotype: Dolphin meets Bear.

Second generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, FL. Fluent in Spanglish.

Plant lover, kombucha obsessed, and meditation fanatic.

Currently in love with high-top sneakers and burning incense.

My husband and I met at a Halloween party in 2011 and have been traveling the world ever since!
