Welcome to January’s Joy Tidbits! ✨
Every week on the Burnt Out to Lit Up Podcast, I share a segment after the interview called- you guessed it- #JoyTidbits.
This is a drop of insight, inspiration, or knowledge in regards to your well-being, personally and professionally.
Since this month is the kick-off of our year-long campaign #LitUp2021, these joy tidbits are centered around big, universal concepts as well as small, tangible ones to get you started feeling fresh and inspired this year.
Shine bright babe! (or dude, or whatever you want to be called!) 😎
When you shine, that does not take away from the shine of other stars. What you put out in the world is uniquely your own, and you are worthy of shining.
Whether that looks like standing up for yourself at work, sharing that vulnerable post on social media, pursuing the job of dreams, dressing up in a way that lights you up- do it in alignment and find the courage to shine!
What you do everyday matters more than what you do once in a while.
Sure, some lux acts of self-care don’t take place regularly. What simple things can you commit to more consistently to add some color to your life?
Putting on my favorite necklace even though I’m not leaving the house that day still makes me feel luxurious. Maybe it’s putting on a full face of makeup (or not!), slipping on your comfiest slippers and having kombucha (out of a wine glass for extra lux).
What are ways you can feel a touch of lux when you’re at work?
Do you trust in your journey? Do you trust in the Universe (or God, or whatever makes sense for you)?
During my daily meditations, I say something like: “Hey Universe, I’m here. I’m listening.”
I embody that awareness of the magic and power of my path. It’s a daily acknowledgement I share where I feel at peace. Like one of Gabby Bernstein’s books (which I have yet to read), the Universe truly does have your back.
Trust it and trust that it will come alive for you.
Getting grounded before I enter work has significantly changed my life.
I used to think intense worrying about the work day ahead was my way of preparing for all that may happen- as you can imagine, that wasn’t the best idea!
Instead of using worrying as a way to attempt to control the day, I anchor my breath to this feeling of being grounded in my body at the present moment.
I accept what may happen in the day, and know that whatever happens does not take away from this grounded feeling. I can’t control what happens, but I can always come back to this safe space.
